Universe Woman – Artwork by Steven "Gumbie" Severt
This 40oz black tumbler features original artwork by tattoo artist Steven “Gumbie” Severt (@gumbiesink), with a haunting dark-fantasy portrait brought to life through flowing, highly detailed linework.
The centerpiece is a mysterious woman framed by an elaborate hood or headdress. Her face sits partially in shadow, giving the portrait an intense, almost otherworldly expression. Long strands of hair sweep across and around her face, blending into the surrounding shapes so that the figure seems to emerge from the darkness of the tumbler itself.
Above her, the headdress rises into a dramatic curved, blade-like form, filled with layered organic patterns and sweeping lines. The surrounding elements wrap around the portrait rather than simply framing it, creating a composition that feels fluid and almost surreal.
Below the woman's face is a prominent circular medallion or orb containing a dark, textured form. Broad curved bands sweep around it and continue through the design, giving the artwork a strong sense of motion and tying the upper portrait to the lower portion of the composition.
Gumbie makes particularly effective use of negative space throughout the piece. Rather than filling every area with heavy shading, fine highlights define the woman's eyes, nose, lips, hair and surrounding forms against large areas of black. The result is artwork that reveals more detail the closer you look.
Laser engraving removes the black outer coating to expose the bright metallic surface beneath, creating a dramatic silver-on-black contrast that complements the dark character of the artwork and makes the flowing lines stand out as they catch the light.
Each tumbler is laser engraved one at a time, permanently engraving the artwork into the finish. There are no decals or printed graphics, so the design won't peel, crack, or fade.
With its generous 40oz capacity, comfortable handle, clear lid, and cup-holder-friendly base, this tumbler combines everyday functionality with an original piece of dark, tattoo-inspired art.
